Grant Cardone believes most schools are missing an important subject: money.

In a recent post on X, the real estate investor and entrepreneur questioned how much time children spend learning practical financial skills compared with traditional school subjects.

"Your kids will spend hundreds of hours this year in school," he wrote, "but how many hours will they spend learning how to invest, create cash flow, build wealth, negotiate deals, or make money?"

Cardone argued that financial education is not a core part of most school curriculums and said parents should expose their children to conversations about business, investing and entrepreneurship.

"Success leaves clues," he wrote. "Let them hear from people who are actually building businesses, buying real estate, and creating wealth."

To make his point, Cardone shared a video featuring his daughter, Sabrina. In the clip, he asks her over the phone to calculate the value of a property generating $1 million in net operating income at a 6% capitalization rate.

"You got a million dollars worth of NOI. What is the value of the property if I want to pay a six cap?" Cardone asked.

After a brief exchange, Sabrina answered, "$16 million."

"That's right," Cardone replied. "I think that is the right answer."

Cardone then contrasted that lesson with traditional schooling.

"You guys are teaching your kids how to get an A in school," he said in the video. "I'm teaching my kids how to calculate a damn NOI on a deal."

Cardone has long been associated with what many people call hustle culture, a movement that emphasizes entrepreneurship, investing and creating multiple streams of income. Supporters say it encourages people to think bigger and take control of their financial future. Critics argue it can sometimes glorify constant work and unrealistic expectations.
